The first picture I stole from Dana’s Blog. That’s her husband JIm and Sarah and I walking at ACL. The next picture is of Matt and I on day 2 of ACL with my hair looking all crazy and Matt with hat hair. I of course haven’t uploaded my pictures from the weekend because I have been busy. So the one is from my Camera Phone.

This weekend was a blast, I had so much fun can’t complain about my first ACL. Got a cool Parasol which helped with keeping the beaming sun off me, cant say it kept me from sweating to death but none the less it helped. Still got a lovely watch tan-line even with my sunblock 50. Had 5 Sno-cones over the course of 3 days, they seemed to make the heat just a little more bearable. It was a dust bowl all weekend which besides feeling dirty all weekend the dust didnt bother me until yesterday when I woke up and could feel the effects of it. Lucky for me I had my allergy shot before this event so my allergies were not going crazy.

Top 5 Bands

David Byrne- he was amazing. Glad I finally got to see him perform. He had backup dancers who were all dressed in white. Fleet Foxes they sound just like the cd they are that good. Robert Plant and Allison Krauss played togeather which was amazing. I really like the cd they put out togeather. Drive by Truckers and Iron and Wine. I can’t really say that I saw a bad set of any band I watched. I also saw the Raconteurs and Jack White had a dislocated disk or something and he was in pain and you could tell by the look on his face. But he sucked it up and put on a really good performance. Had never seen Okerville River which is a band from Austin and they were really really good. Hope to see them play again sometime soon. Finally saw Neko Case play which it was about time she has such a really good voice.

I could go on and on about all the other bands I saw. Way to many to talk about. So besides the heat I have no complaints. Nothing but good memories were made this weekend. Met some new friends and had a blast. Thankyou ACL for not letting me down on my first experience.

Oh yeah this week Oct 1 is Ronnie’s Birthday so if you see her tell her Happy Birthday!

For those of you who know me,  you know I am a Screen Print poster fanatic. Today I stumbled across this lovely article. It will make you want to buy more screen prints which in my case is a bad Idea because I don’t have all the ones I already own hung up yet. It has some work by the Small Stakes Guy who is someone that my friend Calvin and I really like his work.

take a look around  you won’t be dissapointed.

In a little less than 2 week I will be at ACL. I can’t wait to watch David Byrne play, never have before. So many good bands playing Im really excited. This week I am going back home again to Photograph a friends Wedding. Photographing my Grandma’s Wedding was an really wonderful event to Photograph, maybe one these day I will actually post some of them.

Ronnie moved to Austin this weekend which is really exciting, maybe today I will see her. Welcome to Austin Ronnie!

This week I saw StepBrothers the movie and it was so so so funny, I laughed for most of the movie. I would highly recommend seeing this. Started a movie called Margot at the Wedding but never finished it. Not what I thought it was. Also watched some Pete and Pete with my friend Dave and then another night watched Smart People with my friend Calvin, this movie has Helen Paige in it from Juno and it was also another movie I suggest watching.Last night saw a band from Austin called AUX which I had never heard before they sounded like Hourly Radio from Dallas, not a shabby night had alot of fun. This has been a busy week all in all.

So tonight after work I am driving back home for my 73 yr old Grandmother’s wedding. My Grandma looks like Loretta Lynn and the man she is marrying has Johnny Cash hair they are so cute. This should be a good time since 1 I am going to Photograph it and 2 all the Family will be in attendance. So I am jazzed and plus I will see some back home friends while I am in town. Bags are packed and the car is loaded and ready to go.

I was reading about this link www.betterthanthevan.com Cool Idea if you are in a band you can list your info on it so people can offer you a place to stay while on tour. If you are not in band you can put your info on it and bands can contact you about sleeping on your floor when on tour.

Look at this www.smallthingsdesighns.com I think I need some of the Jewelry from this page.

This picture was taken from my phone. Last night I went and saw Rosewood Thieves, they are sooo good. Sadly not alot of people came out to it. Someday hopefully more people will know the glorious music of them. At some point maybe I will upload the pictures taken with my digital camera. Last night was a good night, got to hangout with some old and new friends.
