old school halloween

Today a nice supprise was in my inbox. My friend sent me a page with old timey Halloween pictures. so I posted 1 of  them. It’s neat to see what people looked like for Halloween in the past. I am excited about Halloween should be a good time, lets see how long I keep my wig on. A waive of tiredness came over me after lunch break so I dont much feel like blogging anymore.

i’ll take that please

So who wants to buy me this clock? I looked online and it’s $185 dollars. Yikes! Dont think I will be buying that anytime soon, but it is so freaking cute.  I saw Yoshitomo Nara’s Art work at the Modern in Ft. Worth once it was amazing I will say. They had other Art work by other Artist it was about Childhood innocence. This is what the webpages tells me about it

This unique Yoshitomo Nara Clock has 84 unique drawings by the artist, one for each hour and one for every minute! Each passing minute “flips” over to reveal a new drawing! Watch as the minutes pass by and each image is revealed.

pumpkins everywhere/ I like to ride my Bicycle

So despite last night not being chilly which I wish it would have been, Matt and I carved our Pumpkins. Carving Pumpkins needs to be done in the cold but were are starting to run out of time to carve them plus I have been wanting to do so ever since we bought the Pumpkins like 2 weeks ago.  Mine you cant see all that well and of course I took more pictures with my real camera. Mine is suppose to be a Sugar Skull Pumpkin which I am proud to say I drew on myself even if it doesnt look all that good I still like it. Matt did the Bats which I was excited about since I was like that bat one looks neat. They had a really neat Where the Wild Things Are pattern online but it would have taken forever to do and we started kinda late.

In other news Saturday night some of us went to see a Queen cover band play. Which I was exctied about because back Home they had a Queen cover band callled Queen for a Day who use to play and I always missed them, so when I saw the Magnifico was playing saturday I had to go. Fun would be the word to say here, I was amazed the leadsinger even had on a Leotard which was funny. He was a very animated leadsinger which is good because you can never get bored when watching them. I highly recommend seeing them play.

Need to get my peticoat done tonight for my costume. how exciting!

day of the dead

Yesterday Matt and I wallked downtown to see this Day of the Dead Exhibit where they had Altars for Day of the Dead Built. It was really neat. These are the pictures I took with my phone and then we walked to Whole Foods and that is a picture of a flower that was growing on the fence connected to Whole Foods. The Altars were really neat to see. One other time I went to a Gallery and saw Day of the Dead Art Work and they had a few Altars made.  My allergies are attacking me for 3 days now. My eyes feel like they are going to fall out. When I go home for Halloween Im going to get my Allergy shot because its overdue so then I will get some relief. Is this day over with yet, because I have had enough.

so the sun goes down and the world goes dancing

of course these were taken from my phone on my camera and they are not so great. We all know that it wil be forever before I upload the pictures to my computer off my camera. AMAZING would be the word that comes to mind about The Magnetic Fields show. The show was sooo quiet it was like watching a play and not being at a show. For less then one song Stepehn Merrit told people to sing along and that was only for the one song other than that it was silent. I am very very very happy I was able to see them live. Unfortunately one of my friends Dave ,was not as lucky he came down with Bronchittis and gave up his ticket which sucks for him since we had got the tickets months ago. Ronnita ended up getting the ticket and going with me. You were not suppose to take pictures at the show so I have one crappy camera phone picture that is blurry of them onstage.

Yesterday Matt and I went to a Pumpkin Patch of sorts, by that I mean it wasn’t really where Pumpkins grow but they had so many rows of different sized pumpkins it felt like one.It was alot of fun I took pictures but of course on my camera camera. Matt got 2 pumpkins of good size, and I got one big one to carve and one small one to put inside my house. Matt’s pearl snap shirt kinda matched the pumpkins but wasnt as orange haha.

In other news Lisa was suppose to come to visit this weekend but sadly isn’t anymore, hopefully she will be here to visit sooner than later. Also I got my Halloween Costume stuff In the mail wahoo! Just need one more thing for my costume and all will be ready.
