So I am sitting at wk as I type this and some old man just told me I look alot like Christina Ricci. Thankya is all I can say and that isnt the first time I have heard that haha.
This lovely picture was taken yesterday. Rhonda and George came to town and we went around to some of the Record Stores in town. Then as you can see when George left Rhondaand I to roam S.Congress we went to some stores including the lovely candy store and this is what happened. George came out of the Record store and Rhonda and I were wearing our wax lips. The candy store ws so neat it looks all old timey inside. We went to dinner with Will J, Dave, Brandon and Michelle at Polvo’s which I had never eatten at, it was delish and they have amazing salsa. I had leftovers today for lunch from dinner since I partook in the amazing salsa a little more than I should.
Saturday night Sarah and I went to see the Old 97’s it was PACKED. It was a really awsome show. Some drama was had and I almost got in a fight with some tool who threatened to hit me if his GF wasnt with him, but I stood my ground and plus some man behind me told that guy to turn around. So that mean man finally wasnt a jerk and him and his gf quit making out. It was more in depth but I dont feel like typing it all out.We also had a drunk soccer mom next to us. So it was an intresting night. Hopefully I didn’t freak Sarah out to much with getting into a argument with mean yucky guy. Oh I got into a wreck on Christmas Eve. My car is a little messed up but no major damage and Im fine and no one else was involved. Damn those slippery roads.
Last night Matt and his roomate Brandong and I went to the Trail of Lights. It was sooo pretty and neat.It was very very cold, but it was amazing anyways.
Last week was my Birthday. I have been lazy on posting lately. It was nice and I want to Thank all the friends who cameout with me for
my Birthday and all the wishes and gift sent to me. It means alot to me. Yesterday I did most of my Christmas shopping and I am pooped today and had to be at wk early. I started watching Elf last night for a litlle while and almost fell asleep at 7:30 since I was so tired. Last night my friend Frank was in town from NY and I haven’t seen him in forever. It was really nice to see him. We went to Opal Divines with Amarie and wathced the all the characters that are out, especially since its the holdidays they are all out and about.Today I had to be up early because of wk being open earlier than usual. So the night was cut short, but I had a good time and was glad to see Frank.Next week I will be in the car driving back home for Christmas. Cant wait to see the Fam, not looking foward to all the driving but seeing everyone will be nice. Im ready for a nap. If I don’t post again before Christmas hope everyone has a lovcely Holiday and be careful.
Iconic Japanese Pop artist YOSHITOMO NARA has always had a penchant for all things cute and cuddly, but usually on the diminutive side, stature-wise. His giant dog sculpture on display at the AOMORI MUSEUM, however, is his largest work to date and no less cuddly for its two-story size.http://www.supertouchart.com/
Saturday night I had this lovely Vegan Cupcake, it was delish. Went out with some of the girls and Brandon to the Mohawk for a diy craft night to benefit the Homeless. Wanted to see the Golden Boys but only got to see a song since we were late. Oh well I have seen them before so no biggie. Then we wandered over to Creekside Lounge and ran into Dovehunter which is a band from Denton/Dallas some old school peeps. Good times had by all.
Sunday night my friend Matt and another friend also named Brandon and I tried to go see this Christmas Clips at the Alamo but it was sold out. So we went to Dinner and Matt found 2 different shows that had Christmas episodes in his collection. He said he felt bad we missed the movie. One episode of mr.show and one of curb your enthusiasmThen they tought me to play Dominoes. It was fun I won 3 rounds but Brandon ended up winning overall, but I didn’t care I just liked saying Dominoe when I won. Yup Im a nerd.
This post cracked me up so I am posting it. Today I thought I would go look at http://scramble.proboards48.com/ which is denton rock city. Mike Seman of the band http://www.shinyaroundtheedges.com/ posted this and his post are always funny.
You say “Holiday Season.”
“Reason to drink Champagne, drink egg nog, rock sweater vests, collectively ignore work responsibilities, watch movies with Cary Grant in them, watch Charlie Brown specials, listen to the Less Than Zero soundtrack again for the awesome covers by the Bangles and Slayer. Heck read the book one more time as well. Look back upon your life and assess whether or not you’ve reached your goals for the year, if you’ve done all you could do to improve yourself and the world around you, and then, when you realize you’ve failed miserably… Drink More Champagne! A time to send real BBQ sauce to your relatives in the cold and unfeeling Northeast who still think Texas may or may not be its own country. A time for driving out to Denton Crossing because it’s not like 800 degrees in the poorly designed parking lot ocean and on the way there sing along at top volume with Andy Williams or Tony Bennett as they swing through another Christmas classic. Go to World Market and sit in expensive leather chairs and read the backs of candy bars from England, maybe buy a vase that an anthropology professor would own, perhaps a bottle of Bogle’s Petit Syrah. On the way back to your bohemian art ghetto pad, stop off at the hotel bar and have an anonymous cocktail with anonymous people, striking up conversations of snow and winters past. Or… invite your friends to meet you there for a glass of Champagne and talk of which movies y’all will see over the break. Maybe a story or two about sprawling misdeeds in downtown Ft. Worth under Christmas light spectaculars. Once home… have a glass of wine as a night cap with your significant other and then dive under warm blankets for a luxurious sleep… because the next day brings tree lighting festivities on the Courthouse lawn… and that is a whole other day of sweaters, Christmas music, friends, and, of course, cocktails for all.”
So, you know… TOmato… toMATO
